Teaching Legend Retires
Publication: Ventura County Star (California)
When Sylvia Mack started teaching in 1953, the world was a different place. Dwight D.
Eisenhower was president. The Korean War had just ended. And Elvis Presley had
graduated from high school, and was working as a truck driver for $35 a week.
Fifty-two years later, the popular elementary school teacher has earned a rest. Mack is
retiring from Juanamaria Elementary School, leaving behind hundreds of students and
parents who hate to see her go.

companies that best understand their needs and can deliver highly tailored products
and services...

United States, Europe and Japan.
The secret to Steffi's success lies in her unusual design approach and her exacting eye
toward quality.
Tissue-thin silk, satin and rayon are unexpectedly accented with slivers of exquisite
embroidery and laces she designs herself. Her soft, sensuous designs drape the body
luxuriously, and never compromise on comfort.
Indeed, her entire approach to fashion design is a tactile one, from the luscious fabrics
she selects to the breathtaking designs she creates...
